Do You Own A Fire Extinguisher?
Friday, October 3rd, 2008Here is a question for you…..if you had a fire at home do you have any way of putting it out fast or would you have to run out of the house and call the fire brigade?
If your one of those people who leave things until it’s too late perhaps this blog entry can serve as a reminder to go out now and buy a fire extinguisher.
There are many types of fire extinguisher including powder extinguishers, Co2 extinguishers, water extinguishers, and foam fire extinguishers. All have there uses but for around the home I would go for an ABC Powder extinguisher as it can put out a wide range of fires.
The Co2 extinguisher will be used to put out electrical devices that have caught fire and where there is a risk of electrical shock.
It may also be a very good idea to have one in the car too as if you can quickly extinguisher an engine fire the chances are your car will survive - let it burn and it could potentialy explode!
